The Comic Book Podcast Your Momma Warned You About.
It’s a sick week for Chronic Insomnia. Mike has some sort of throat locust and can barely talk, so the show is going to take a break this week. However in lieu of a new show, we figured you might like to hear an older show Ryan and I both love. It’s also relevant since the new Star Trek movie comes out this next week on DVD.
Here is how the original description of the show went back on May 12th, 2009: Poop, Urine and Phlegm are all vacant from this episode of Chronic Insomnia. What’s gotten into us lately? Listen closely as we carefully review the new Star Trek movie in quite a lot of detail. We even argue a little bit about it. This week Mike just won’t shut up about his Star Trek boner.
We have some new friends in Canada to talk about and things get a little out of hand when Ryan talks about his deodorant of choice. Mike brings up the golfing experience from last Tuesday and we figure out what Ryan actually shot. How great does Ryan think he is at Golf, well tune in to find out.
Listen closely for smatterings of Star Trek throughout this weeks show. Also see if you can tell who’s voice is nearly blown out by the end of this weeks episode.

On this weeks show Mike and Ryan discuss their man-skaping techniques. Who’s got the Bruce Willis cut and who’s sporting the Oprah afro cut? Too condition or not to condition. Also find out who wears the silk boxers and who might be a recent convert; and that’s why we love comic books.
Ryan’s in love again. Does this mean we have to look forward to another total reboot in six months, well this time we might be safe since it’s just his new favorite comic book. Download and find out what book he wants to pick out curtains with.
Is our love affair with Where Monsters Dwell completely burned out? Does Mike think he could take Remy in a arm wrestling match, well not really, but it is discussed. Ryan thinks Remy could take out the average UFC fighter and yes that means Kimbo Slice. Mike is hesitant to agree with that.

Issue # 114 The 2009 Halloween Special
On this weeks show Ryan and Mike go Trick or Treating in “The City That God Forgot.” Ryan gives us his rendition of his favorite “Wham” song and Mike does a little Man-Scaping on former President Kennedy. Does Harry Carey need a diaper or he just that gross?
Listen as we discuss our favorite Halloween movies and learn all about revenge and true love from that wonderful movie, “The Crow.” Nothing says love like coming back from the dead to kill your own killers.

With Steely resolve Chronic Insomnia ventures forth into a new realm of all digital podcasting. Ryan brings his lovers rant to new level as Mike edges him closer to a breakthrough.
For some reason Digital Podcasting comes complete with porn audio in the background, go figure. We reach out and touch ourselves over some more Market Spotlight and realize that Ryan was cool before it was cool to be cool.
Check out this week as Ryan goes off the deep end and Mike helps push him. We want to thank everyone for nominating us for a Podcast Award. We also want to give a shout out to our Canadian friends on the wonderful radio program called “Where Monsters Dwell“.

Apparently Ryan has the plague, because he can’t stop coughing throughout the show. Is Ryan sucking on a cough drop or someone’s meat cannon? Well I was there and I didn’t see any flesh swords about.
This is the last week of analog podcasting, for next weeks show, everything will be digital. Listen as we experience our last audio problem at the beginning of the show. That will be the last time that Ryan and I are at different levels AFTER recording a whole segment.

This week Ryan is coming down from a terrible sickness and we aren’t too sure how the show is going to go. Alas my dear friends the show was totally awesome to record and it felt good once we were done with it.
Ryan gets his drink on and Mike just steers the ship and lets Ryan run wild. We talk about the new internet TV show “Cerebus” and realize it’s going to be a huge pile of feces.
Is George R.R. Martin ever going to finish “A Song Of Fire And Ice?” Until then we get to enjoy the HBO series currently filming in Ireland.
Ryan gets pissed off at Tyrese Gibson and his 17 inch member. Ryan also discusses the measurements of his little soldier as we conclude another totally insane episode of Chronic Insomnia.

Chronic Insomnia - The Worlds Worst Comic Book Podcast. Saving the world one poop joke at a time.
Issue # 110. This week is a little different here at Chronic Insomnia. Ryan was away at the cabin all weekend and he drank copious amounts of alcohol, so that left him unable to prepare for the show. We decided to switch things up this week; first we review of one of our favorite comic books, and then we have a long discussion of the fan favorite TV show, Smallville.
Friday was the “Smallville” season 9 opener and this week we talk almost exclusively about that show. Do we still loath the idea of a superman with “no tights, no flights”? Tune in this week and find out.
Ryan and Mike discuss the final Giant Size Old Man Logan comic book which finally came out last Wednesday. It’s a big show with Ryan complaining of extreme chest pains and his current software upgrade. Mike, the current Quincy Jones of podcasting, takes a break from all the technical stuff and just lets this weeks show flow throughout the night. Stay tuned at the end of the show for a surprise song by the best singer in the world, Dennis Twat.

So are we Sex Pistols or Beatles? We honestly, we’re neither, we’re just plain Chronic Insomnia. Mike finally weighs in on a accurate scale with Ryan bought. This time it reads the same readings each time I step on it. I am a little surprised I haven’t lost much, but at least we have an accurate reading for once.

Check out this weeks show as we discuss Deadpool # 15 and Irredeemable Volume 1. Could this be Daniel Ways coming out party for Deadpool? Has Mark Waid finally lost his mind and wrote a book that’s so disturbing even we have some trouble with it? Well not really, but Irredeemable Volume 1 is a pretty interesting story.
One of us has gotten a software upgrade to version 1.5 and we’re finding it’s not as stable as we would like it to be. We won an award for best radio program and a giant douche bag ruins our special moment.
