It’s a sick week for Chronic Insomnia.  Mike has some sort of throat locust and can barely talk, so the show is going to take a break this week.  However in lieu of a new show, we figured you might like to hear an older show Ryan and I both love.  It’s also relevant since the new Star Trek movie comes out this next week on DVD.

Here is how the original description of the show went back on May 12th, 2009:  Poop, Urine and Phlegm are all vacant from this episode of Chronic Insomnia. What’s gotten into us lately? Listen closely as we carefully review the new Star Trek movie in quite a lot of detail. We even argue a little bit about it. This week Mike just won’t shut up about his Star Trek boner.

We have some new friends in Canada to talk about and things get a little out of hand when Ryan talks about his deodorant of choice. Mike brings up the golfing experience from last Tuesday and we figure out what Ryan actually shot. How great does Ryan think he is at Golf, well tune in to find out.

On this weeks show Ryan and Mike go Trick or Treating in “The City That God Forgot.”  Ryan gives us his rendition of his favorite “Wham” song and Mike does a little Man-Scaping on former President Kennedy.  Does Harry Carey need a diaper or he just that gross?

This week Ryan is coming down from a terrible sickness and we aren’t too sure how the show is going to go.  Alas my dear friends the show was totally awesome to record and it felt good once we were done with it.

Ryan gets his drink on and Mike just steers the ship and lets Ryan run wild.  We talk about the new internet TV show “Cerebus” and realize it’s going to be a huge pile of feces.

Is George R.R. Martin ever going to finish “A Song Of Fire And Ice?”  Until then we get to enjoy the HBO series currently filming in Ireland.

Ryan gets pissed off at Tyrese Gibson and his 17 inch member.  Ryan also discusses the measurements of his little soldier as we conclude another totally insane episode of Chronic Insomnia.

Issue # 110.  This week is a little different here at Chronic Insomnia.  Ryan was away at the cabin all weekend and he drank copious amounts of alcohol, so that left him unable to prepare for the show.  We decided to switch things up this week; first we review of one of our favorite comic books, and then we have a long discussion of the fan favorite TV show, Smallville.

Friday was the “Smallville” season 9 opener and this week we talk almost exclusively about that show.  Do we still loath the idea of a superman with “no tights, no flights”?  Tune in this week and find out.

Ryan and Mike discuss the final Giant Size Old Man Logan comic book which finally came out last Wednesday.  It’s a big show with Ryan complaining of extreme chest pains and his current software upgrade.  Mike, the current Quincy Jones of podcasting, takes a break from all the technical stuff and just lets this weeks show flow throughout the night.  Stay tuned at the end of the show for a surprise song by the best singer in the world, Dennis Twat.

Chronic Insomnia - The Worlds Worst Comic Book Podcast brings you it’s 100th episode extravaganza.

It’s another milestone here at Chronic Insomnia.  We’d like to express our gratitude to all our listeners for sticking in there for the past 100 shows.  It’s been a great ride and we hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have.  This is also the longest show we have ever done so you’re very welcome.

We start the show in an arena and suddenly lose our audience or we just get lazy and forget to add the crowd effects in the background, I guess it’s all up to personal interpretation anyways.

This week Ryan’s not smashed out of his mind on beer and White Russians, so we’ve got that going for us.  Ryan brings out his ladies man speech and show’s us all why he’s still looking for that special lady friend.  Some might say he’s got some issues with the opposite sex, but you didn’t hear that from me.

We touch, not near briefly enough, on “Wednesday Comics” and how much Mike loves “Preacher”.  Mike complains about his tit hurting and Ryan grills him on why he let’s people constantly tug on this man jugs.

Our good friends at “Where Monsters Dwell” run into more problems with radio stations and mean women.  Have we somehow jinxed them?  Manatee Weight Loss 2009 is in full effect and we find out which one of us has actually gained weight in the past week.  Could it be the half and half and the liquor from last week?  Or is one of the hosts actually building up some muscle?  Download and find out.

Episode # 99.5  Grilled Manatee With Sauce!

For tonight’s menu, may I recommend a completely char-broiled Manatee burger with sauce?  Way, way, way, WAY too much sauce?

Before the show I had a beer or ten and then mixed myself a couple of double White Russians as we sat down to record. And well…you’re about to hear the results.  I honestly don’t remember that much of what was said.  (making this introduction a bit of a challenge) Pretty sure that I couldn’t speak straight, see straight, or complete a coherent thought.

I do remember that Quincy stopped the tape after the first thirty minutes because he couldn’t take it any more, it was that bad.  (this is unprecedented in the history of the show, oddly enough, our standards are quite low around here)  And he said to me “You’ve got to pick it up, man.  You’re slobbering out blahblahbleeebloooblaah and I can’t understand you.  Let’s do it again with some ENERGY, dude!”

And I’m thinking to myself, “If I had any energy, I’d be walking over to that wash basin and projectile vomiting bratwurst into it.”  Which I eventually did.  This will be the only podcast you listen to this week that includes an obese white man chucking bratwurst and White Russians into a wash basin, I’d wager.  You’re welcome.

Chances are if you are listening to this show you have heard our lack luster 2nd Anniversary show and we want to thank you for sticking around.  Issue # 99 comes on the eve of our greatest achievement.  Our 2nd anniversary show might have meant something on a calendar, but the 100th show is going to be that much more special.

This week Ryan talks about a prostitute who works for food.  Mike discusses his shame over Quiet Riots commercial success and overall we talk a lot about Comic Books, go figure.

We continue our ongoing crossover with our friends from the Canadian radio show “Where Monsters Dwell”.  Will Ryan’s “Impalement” prove to be too much for his fat bloated body? Mike continues to lose weight at a snails pace, or has he?  Tune in to find out.
